Saturday, August 18th - Into Nashville

This morning, we left Cave City, Kentucky and drove 75 miles to our home for the next three nights, Nashville Country RV Park, just north of Nashville, Tennessee. We stopped for diesel fuel at the Flying J in Franklin, Kentucky. At $2.65, it is among the lowest prices in the country for diesel fuel. We ate a late breakfast at Bob Evans in Bowling Green, Kentucky and pulled into Nashville around 1:00pm.

MA contacted long-time family friend, Joe Mangin who lives in nearby Hendersonville with wife, Trisha and daughter, Julia.
Son, Anthony is studying at Belmont College in Nashville. Joe invited us to meet them at a local mall and we all drove to Gallatin, Tennessee for dinner. It was a great evening at Oliver's Restaurant. They specialize in New Orleans-style dishes and they were VERY good! Reminded us of several local restaurants when we lived in Louisiana. As you can see, Julia was enjoying the Mountain of Chocolate dessert.
