Monday, August 13th - Louisville, Kentucky
This morning we left Indianapolis and drove 115 miles to our camp for three days, the KOA in Clarksville, Indiana, just across the Ohio River from Louisville, Kentucky. We stopped for lunch at a cafeteria in Greenwood, Indiana. Jonathan Byrd's Cafeteria was spotlighted in our Roadfood book. It has an 88 foot-long food line! Around twenty choices for entrees! And - it tasted great!.
Once we got set-up in our Louisville area campground, we drove to the south part of town to Churchill Downs and visited the Kentucky Derby Museum and took a walking tour of the racetrack. It was intolerably HOT!
