Sunday, July 8th - Roundtop Mountain

This morning, Terry & Sylvia were walking their dog, Keeper, near our camp at the same time I was walking Gypsy. They asked us to go to breakfast, so we joined them at the Tic Toc Grill. It was very enjoyable.

After breakfast, we all drove their two 4-wheelers up to the top of Roundtop Mountain. MA and I were on one and Terry and Sylvia on the other. The road was very rocky and quite steep in places. The view of the valley was spectacular! On the way up, we stopped at the mountain cabin of Jack & Suzie Jackson, friends of Terry & Sylvia. Jack is nationally famous for his wood carvings and has authored two books. This is one of his carvings, whittled from a single piece of bass wood. Here is Jack's website.

Later, we returned to the coach for a nap and then ate dinner at the Trails End restaurant in Lake City.
